I tow 11.5K with an F 250 6.2 with 4.30 diffy.
I run 65 at 2000 R's in 6th gear.
I just went from diesel to gas and will never look back.
Have you ever watched the up hill pull offs between the gasser and diesel? There was just tiny smidge of a difference.
And that old saying ab0ut as diesel lasting longer than as gas - modern day gassers run virtually forever also.
Seems to me that old time thinking has not been modernized to acomodate the gasser capability.
Do the math, it is your decision, but just generalized comments about the diesel should not be in the equation.
