With my work truck, 2012 4x4 CC with the 6.2 and 4.30 gears, I average about 15-16 on the highway and about 9 when towing a JD Skidsteer. I love the truck and engine combo, it's what I will be ordering when it's time for a new personal vehicle-XL bare bones.
You're doing better than me, by alot. My work truck is a '13 4x4, Ext cab, 3.73s and I get 12.4 mpg no more no less, commuting 20mi one way, 80% highway at about 70mph. Hand calced, the overhead is within a couple tenths. Towing a 4klb trailer with 1k in the bed from Seatle to AK, I got an avg of 8.2 and alot of the drive was slow due to road conditions.
Having had every possible of Ford gasser combination for the last 18 years in my company trucks (except the ecoboost, I don't think the 6.2 is anything special. Lackluster performance and mileage.
Same truck configuration with my 2011 F150 work truck, 5.0, 3.73's got consistently 3 + mpg better than the 6.2 and IMO pulled just as hard
