'Tis true. Low payload due to low GVWR due to softer springs for better axle articulation. Made more for off roading than towing & hauling. The tow rating is only around 10k IIRC.
good to know...Great looking truck, and the test drive was fun....but if it's limits are the same as my Tundra it's off the table.
I also called Kernersville Ram down in NC, and the truck (new 6.4 2500) they had advertised for 33k, came out to 38k by the time they took away all of the rebates I don't qualify for. I don't know how some guys are saying they paid 31k for their trucks. all of the dealers seem to advertise low and then the price keeps going up.
