I sent you a PM.
Thanks Don! Much appreciated!
awaiting some pricing on Ford F250's, although it seems the 14's are hard to come by right now..at least locally. and the 2015 6.2 250 CC XLT seems to be around $45k...still too much for a gas truck IMO.
I have also seen a ton of dealers with 2014 Ram 2500's with 12-15k miles on them..all in the same SLT configuration. Looks like they are all from the same fleet (Enterprise Rental) Most dealers are asking around 31k for them. The only thing I don't like about this fleet model is they don't have the flip up tow mirrors and have cheap plastic bed liners that don't fit very well and they are all 5.7's with 3.73 gears. I don't know how that will fare for towing 7600lbs, with up to up to 2000lbs passengers and gear in the truck.
thinking it isprobably just as good as my Tundra for everyday driving...(15mpq...75 mile round trip commute)
As far as new Ram Trucks, I'm finding it hard to find deals like some are saying they got on their ram tradesman models ($31k) Every dealer around me is 36-37k before taxes and fees, and ones further away are only about 34k before taxes and fees.
The ones I find advertised are really low prices seem to go up once you take away incentives I'm not eligible for...so it doesn't seem that I can really get a brand new Ram truck for ~31k.
There is one local dealer who had a Tradesman 3500 CC with 6.4l and 4.10 gears for ~35k...not a bad price? it does only have the plain steel wheels and I'm not sure how much rougher the ride would be with the 3500 given the rear leaf springs??...in the 3500 series?
here is the sticker on the 3500
2014 Ram 3500 window sticker
We have Tundras at work that range from 2008 - 2012 and although a little stiffer IMO I like the ride and handle of my 3500 SRW Ram better. Mine is a diesel so IDK if that would be different than the gas as far as the ride goes. The window sticker that you linked show the truck to have the plow package which is heavier front springs. IDK how that would do with the lighter gas engine. You are going to have to go drive one to see how you like it.
