Realistically,I'm sure not many people use the center front seat very much if at all. I know in the 14,000 mi I have on my truck, the center console has never been in the raised position.
I realize everyones needs are different, but to be majorly pissed at Ram for not making the center seat more to your needs is a little ridiculous.
Finding a truck thats absolutely perfect in every way mite be tuff. Most likely you may have to compromise on something.
Good luck in your search.
Yeah, I hear you about most people not really using it, and I'm included in that camp, it's the times that I need it that make it a useful feature.
I know every truck will have it's unique features, I'm just pissed at Ram for designing a feature and not finishing the job! because if only one engineer sat in the seat they would agree it's pretty useless and design a latch to recline it like Toyota did...
I don't really think it's too much to ask of a manufacturer to make their features functional. They go thru the trouble of making the third seat, but make it pretty much useless and then add a floor console on some models to make sure you can't use it....WTF?
for me it's only a requirement maybe 5% of the time, but it's one of those thing that when you need it...you need it.
hopefully I can figure something out because I really like the Ram.
I have only ever seen that in the Toyota, never seen it in any of the big 3, which is what you are tied to for a 3/4 ton
I know, I will most likely just have to deal with it if I want more truck than the Tundra provides...
The F250 was slightly better, and I'm not sure how it is on the GM trucks. I wonder if anyone has modded the stops to allow it recline further?
