I'll go out a limb and ask the question... why bother offering the jump seat if it is essentially impractical to use it?
I bought a truck with bucket seats, so I have no dog in this fight. It just seems ridiculous to offer a seat that is otherwise unusable...
I can only speak to my 2014 Ram 2500 but my 10 year old sat in it fine but that was only for a couple miles and that is the only time it's even been used. It was nice to have it when needed
my wife and out 12 year old daughter are the same size so it would be one of them sitting in the middle seat. a couple of miles is one thing, but a few hours becomes a different story. not saying we can't figure out some different seating arrangements, but if you are going to offer the 3rd person seating at least make it useable.
even with the floor shifter they didn't need to put 3 MORE cup holders on the floor. and it would have been easy to have a lever to let it recline just a little bit more.....heck the toyota even has a shoulder belt built into it!
I love this country and try to buy American whenever possible, but lord help the Detroit truck makers if Toyota ever offers a HD truck.
ok...rant is over...carry on.
