well, I started looking at 3/4 ton trucks back in August and here I am still looking.....my starting budget was ~34k but it's hard to find a truck with the options I want at that price.
I feel like I'm getting close to pulling the trigger on one of the following configurations:
1. 2015 Ram 2500 tradesman CC short bed with the following for $36k
6.4
4.10
u connect 5
tow mirrors
chrome package
populat equip group
anti slip diff
spray in bed liner
back up cammera and sensors
wheel to wheel side steps
2. 2015 Ford f250 short bed crew cab $37,500
6.2l
4.30
basic i-sync radio
spray in bed liner
backup camera
18" alum wheels w/275-70-18 tires
xlt value package
now that I've been pushing the limits of my budget some other used options have turned up. Enterprise sold off their entire fleet of 2014 rental trucks and many local dealers have them on their lots in the following configurations...all seem to have 12-14k miles on them
1. 2014 Ford F250 6.7 Diesel xlt CCSB (small 245 series tires) for ~$38,500
2. 2014 F250 6.2 gasser (3.73's)in the same config for ~ $33,000
3. 2014 Ram 2500 slt 5.7, 3.73, uconnect 5, plastic bed liner and no towing mirrors for ~$31k
I don't know much about the 6.7 oil burner or even if it is a good idea to buy a rental vehicle in the first place?
any opinions are appreciated.
