Front axle of tandem trailer shifting

Hello, I'm new here and new to the Trailer life. I've been camping and backpacking since I can remember. We decided to buy a travel trailer as our new tent. We still want to camp with our friends, but my back can't handle the air mattres anymore or the setup and take down of our tent.
Anyways, the trailer that I bought, the front axle shifted towards the outside of the turn on a slow tight turn while taking it out of our storage unit. It moved a good 1 1/2" to 2" and the wheels turned slightly. Our dealership tells me that's normal. This is a first for me. All the tow trailers I've ever pulled never did such thing.
The trailer is a Spree Connect, and I was wondering if this is normal for this type of trailers.

Thank you,
Newby Trailer Camper

As far as I know, that's normal. Both my trailers did the same thing.
  • I was told that that was built into my 2010 Dutchmen to help with tight turns. When you pull straight it should come back to normal.
  • Sorry no pics, I took it in to the dealership for that and other minor things the trailer needed. However it straightened up once on the road.
  • So is the front axle now offset compared to the rear? Got pics?
  • If it is a tandem axel trailer ,it is normal. They do crazy things when backing into a spot too.
