Anybody using one of these? This one is homemade, but it is great for pushing a trailer into a tight spot when the TC is on the truck. Holds the bike rack too.
I built one for my brother's daully so he could haul a canoe with his 5'er..had one on my d250 for moving farm wagons..going to be building one for my f550 for the same reason..
I recently installed a Draw-Tite front mount hitch that I bought from etrailer.com on my truck and love it. Now I can put the cargo carrier on the front end instead of on the back end and not have the problem of opening the camper door when I need to. I usually take along my 2000w inverter generator, five gallons of gas and seven gallons of extra water and it got to be a real pain to take all of that stuff off just to get inside the camper. I might even use it to push my boat down the ramp when I get to where I'm going so I don't submerge the camper in the lake.
Used for putting boat in storage along side my house, carrying hillbilly basket (carrier) and bike rack. I wouldn't have a pick up without a front hitch even if I didn't own a camper.
Link was too album not picture..wasnt loading for me. Looks like it bolts/sandwiches the tow hooks-simular to Bodiak design. I have a HiddenHitch on our Ford, we haul a scooter on it.
