If it’s not covered or dirty, you have a bad sensor. A dealer will be able to tell which sensor is bad.
I’ve had the same thing happen on my Ram just recently. It froze when covered. Now it randomly goes off. So unless it dries out I may have to replace the bad d sensor, I haven’t looked at it yet.
