Are there any disadvantages to using a 2x4 in the front of the truck bed instead of using the rubber stoppers that are attached to the front of the truck camper? What other things can be used in...

I have the pink in there now...I'll have to try some blue :)
I just had another idea...I like to carry some 12"x12" squares of 1/2" plywood...in case I have to load.
They would make perfect spacers instead of the foam...I will swap them out next time I unload.
