Front window hinge bent...

We have a window on the front of our trailer with the fiberglass cover that works on two hinges.

One hinge got jammed and then bent. I want to replace it, but the hinge is riveted in on both ends. What is my fix? I've never used rivets before.

  • Can you post a pic? That might help, unless someone knows exactly what it would be. What year? If older and NLA, there's lots of RV parts salvage places around the country. If it's ordinary pop rivets, they're easy to work with and the rivet guns are quite inexpensive. Pop rivets just get drilled out to remove a part. Maybe the hinge can be repaired if removed?
