Much depends on the quality of fuel. If you always get fuel at the same station and they keep their tanks clean and change the pump filters on a regular basis your are probably pretty safe going until the DIC says to change. On the other hand if you're doing lots of travel and forced to fuel up at numerous stations of questionable maintenance I would question the wisdom of pushing the limit.
