How many are using a Fumoto or similar? I getting tried of cleaning up after oil changes, what are the issues? I know they don't drain as fast possibly leaving sediment in the pan. Thanks
I've used them now for about 15 years on all my vehicles, and our son has used them on his vehicles as well. Probably close to 500K miles altogether.
IMHO they are a perfect solution, no issues for us. You are correct, they don't drain as fast as just pulling the plug. I doubt they leave any more sediment in the pan than just pulling the plug.
I've used them on 2 mercedes, 2 duramax's, an s-10, gm van, honda, and a mazda. They go on at the first oil change.
The only thing to consider is if the drain plug goes straight down and is unprotected then don't use the fumoto valve with the nipple on it. Otherwise use the fumoto valve with the longer nipple and slip a piece of tubing on it when you drain.
