Furnace won't ignite

Temps finally got down to where I needed to fire off the furnace, but it wouldn't light. Here's aas much info as I can give...

Trailer is a Forest River Stealth 2460, I think the furnace is by Dometic. The control has 3 buttons, a + and - to adjust temp up and down and a third button to cycle through fan, AC, Furnace, off.

So I cycle it to Furnace with the temp set above 80, blower comes on but no heat, after a few minutes the blower shuts off. Didn't smell any gas so I'm thinking that's the issue. Had gas to the stove so I know there's gas in the tanks.

Question is, did I miss something or is there a problem? Got an appointment with the dealer on Thursday.

BTW, little ceramic heater saved the day, that little sucker kept the whole trailer nice and toasty!

    This was using shore power.

As to make and model, not sure and paperwork is with the trailer at the storage lot.

Thanks for the help, and where is the "sail switch"????
  • you need to give the furnace model, I am not sure Dometic as a brand even has a furnace, they have heat pumps …
  • Dirty sail switch.
Are you connected to shore power or using batteries/
If shore power it could be dirty. Locate the sail switch and use canned air to blow out area. Or if you have access to air compressor blow out the whole compartment.
If running on batteries, the voltage maybe low enough to prevent sufficient air volumne to operate the sail switch.
