Galley faucet issue

About half the time when we turn our faucet on it stops flowing. The only way to get it to flow again is to flush the toilet. This happens using the water pump and city water. I have a 2009 Arctic fox 990. Any ideas?

  • The screen looked clean. But I removed the faucet head and ran water for a couple minutes and seems to be working well now. Thanks for all your help
  • I ended up removing the screen on the end of my kitchen sink faucet. I got tired of the slow stream. Removed it and never had a problem again. Yes, they can get clogged. Mostly the clogging is due to the deterioration of the anode rod in the water heater. Those flakes will get trapped in the screen and clog it up. It's not dirty or polluted water or bad campground water. And if your water heater does not have an anode rod, it could be simple lime build-up on the screen. Either way, remove it and see if the flow is better.
  • X2. The screen is located at the end of the faucet. It screws off/on.
Run the water with the aerator removed to see if it corrects the problem. If it does, clean or replace the screen. Cleaning is usually all that is necessary.
  • :) Hi, clean the faucet screen. Maybe the dirt in the screen falls back when the toilet is flushed due to lack of pressure?????
