Garbage disposal?

BAD idea.
It would be slightly less bad if you could route the output of the disposal to the BLACK tank....but still bad.

We use paper towels to wipe ALL solids off plates before washing to keep them out of the grey tank, and you want a disposal to more efficiently fill the grey tank with solids? SMH

The less grease, the less food particles down the drain, the better for your pipes. We carry blue paper shop towels (cheap and plentiful) to wipe everything clean first. Same as your house. Less garbage down the drain, less chance of clogged pipes later when hardened grease builds up and clogs your pipes. And never, never, never put potato peals down the drain or even a garbage disposal, you are asking for some serious clogs.

Garbage disposal in an RV, unless it's a permanently parked and plumbed Park Model, ... No... bad idea.

Most plumbers I think will tell you not to use a disposal if you have a septic tank and while different probably not a good idea for the gray tank either. However, IF you keep the grey tank closed and only dump it when close to full it could work. Then make sure you keep some water in the tank at all times. But I wouldn’t do it.

IMHO that's asking for trouble.

Not sure the normal small lines would carry enough water to carry the grindings out. Then the gray tank would be a good place for the grindings to settle out. You think keeping a black tank cleaned out is a PITA?
