GAS 6.6 GM

I surmise that it's more about future sales than current capability. If one is in a pattern of increasing market share (like ram, idk about GM gassers) or already has a big marketing point for the year "The new 6.6 Duragas!!", then why show all your cards up front, when next year or the year after you can have another big marketing release. "Now with the new Turbo Hydramatic TH1000 transmission!!"
