Have you tried just running the chargers in parallel operation?
Sounded at first like you were trying to make switch into a transfer switch.
I would just use it for powering the charger circuit. Chargers would be 120volt so you would just use one side of the double pole switch. The ground would be spliced and pigtailed to the switch ground point only for safety. Neutral would be spliced straight through.
