Not worried aboout it being exposed to the elements for a while. Being a used one it's not exactly pretty and not too hard to get up there. It's not 50lbs and easy enough to have someone hand it up to me while on the ladder. Haha, not too old, yet.
No generator compartment on this 860, it will slide into a long bed too. None of the side doors are big enough to fit it in. Eventually i am thinking about building a generator rack where they put the factory gene compartments on the SB only models.
Putting it in a plastic tub is a good idea inside. Got enough of those laying around.
I like that little ladder rack too. Will look at getting one of those. Good spot for a cooler too.
Come to think of it, a hitch rack might make a good intermediate step/landing into the camper as well. Camper Sitting up on the back of a tall truck could use a landing since the fold out stairs would get in the way when I pull a trailer.
Backseat wont work..........kids in back.
It would eventually be a pain to pull it down every time camping, agreed.
