I really appreciate that feedback on the TW200's worthiness for the application. These CT90's not only can not go on a freeway, I really don't even like riding them on roads where speed limits are over 45 or so. Many 2 lane black-tops are posted 55 with most drivers going 65. The Trail 90 will top at 52mph on a downhill, all day long at full throttle on the flat about 45 to 48 and if there is even a slight uphill grade will slow down to 40 and most likely have to downshift to 3rd.
But this is o.k for a couple reasons; first, their purpose is to get out to the spots we want to see and places we want to go, like taking dirt roads and such in to fishing and hiking trail heads. I hate taking my camper off on dirt/gravel for any distance so these are great; I can camp in a nice campground and head out for the day away from the crowd.
I didn't know that about Suzuki pulling out either.
If we ever did change to something with more grunt, it would have to be a two-up bike as DW won't be able to drive a full sized bike. And that is a problem. I like to take off early to go to the fishing spots, she likes to sleep in and follow later. She can start her Trail 90 and touch the ground, and I doubt that would happen with just about any other bike.
