Getting around
As a spin off from another thread, I thought I'd start a new one on how us TC'ers get around once we have set up camp. Some drop the camper off and drive the truck, others pack up and head to do sigh...

I have a DR650, that I plan on either carrying on the front or on the trailer I built, best, simplest and cheapest DS bike out there. Big enough to 2 up but only 360 lbs. no fuel injection, no radiator, no computer, easy to work on and tons of after market parts. A guy from Chicago, took his to Alaska and back then through the US, Mexico, Central, S. America to Tierra Del Fuego, then to Africa, from s. Africa north through middle east to India.
