Hi all, I know this subject has been hit before but I was unable to find it in the search tool.The gentleman who bought my old Lance has a 1-ton SRW with what looks like 6 inches of lift and oversized tires. I know the stock jacks on my camper will not reach. I don't want to invest a lot of time or money since I am just helping him load it up and send him on his way. He can work out a more permanent solution on his own.Any simple ideas? I was thinking of stacking the 2x6 blocks I use for leveling the truck to provide an elevated base for the jacks.

Talk about top heavy. A big unit on top of a lifted truck. Wow. Of course, once you have the guys money it's not your problem.

I think I'd ask for the cash before loading lol. Kind of reminds me of when I picked up my first camper. First time I ever loaded a camper and I ran out of room on the jacks. I then had to block it up so that I could get some blocks under the jacks... got lucky that it didn't fall over.

The camper is on barrels right now so it is no problem to retract the legs and put a block under them. I like the idea of the wood on a cinder block since it will spread the weight out.

Naw... as the weight police tell us time and time again, no matter what mods you do to the truck, the weight limits on your stickers don't change :B I don't see how this is any different! :h

Put a high lift jack under each camper jack. Then lift as high as needed. (Just kidding. I just couldn't resist ;) )

Glad yo didn't use cinder blocks. that would be a recipe for disaster. To those considering or recommending it, you are playing with fire. Wood blocks or solid concrete only.

FYI, we ended up using the 2x6 chunks that I use for leveling. Three on each jack worked like a charm!

Excellent idea! The surface is road mix so I also thought of digging down if we needed to.

Had a truck with 8" lift and just used 6x6.
With a 40 ft 5ver .

Blocks and he could also air down his tires if you have a compressor handy.
