Mike, if you are like many of us, you really CAN afford it, but just don't want to spend foolishly. What makes me feel better, about spending for something I may not need, is to trim a little/downgrade on some other monthly cost, that may not be a necessity. My not as thrifty wife says, why do that, when you don't have to? I reply, I feel better getting rid of something I don't need, in order to purchase something I don't need.:@

You're probably right but I have many other things that hold higher priority like parochial school and the such, so paying that much more for gas doesn't seem like the intelligent thing to do.
I'm currently having my salesman trying to find me a HD payload package with trailer brake controller and tow mirrors on a Crew Cab 4WD XLT F150 right now. Either a 5.0L or 3.5L Ecoboost with the priority on the 5.0L that I love. Those come with the 6.5' bed.
Not sure if I can find one for what I want to pay, but I'll try for now. If not, I can keep my truck another year if I need. If I am going to pay such a high price, it WILL have the HD payload package on it so that I get some of the benefits of the F250 while towing. Not sure how it will tow being so much lighter but the factory LT tires will undoubtedly help.
Thanks!
