I do have a bit of sympathy for those who think the board is a bit harsh. I must admit when I was buying my TV, I thought I was informed.
I poured over the specs, had more than enough tongue weight with a WD hitch, had plenty of horse power, was well within the combined vehicle weight and etc.
The one thing I never thought of was the Max Cargo limit. But at 1411 lbs. it seemed like a piece of cake; until I added a truck cap, two adults and a dog, tools and the tongue weight of a TT full of goodies. Suddenly I am within 100 lbs. of my limit.
I have never had an issue and the rig handles fine; but I can see how easy it is to purchase a TT that is too big.
So, I tend to cut these folks a bit of slack.
