Hard crowd here.
When you buy a camper you buy it with a brand name on the side, they bought the parts they wanted to buy. They hired the help they wanted to hire to build the trailer. The trailer manufacture decides who sells their product and who services it under warranty. Ultimately it is their product and when something goes wrong it is their problem.
Unfortunately too many people never accept responsibility for their own actions and now that attitude seems to be acceptable towards manufacturers as well. Many feel the original manufacturer has no responsibility for the vendors they use. I say that this attitude is wrong and the companies who share that attitude will not survive. If I buy a product from a company with this kind of attitude, it will be my last purchase from them. To say Starcraft is not responsible for your fridge problem is wrong. Most likely since it is a door alignment problem it was damaged during installation. The couch problem is either an installation problem or a defective couch. Either way it is a Starcraft problem since they are part of Jayco who builds their own couches (or at least the use to).
While many products like the furnace, stove, microwave, AC. fridge, water pump all are warranted by their respective manufacturers, all these items will be covered by Starcraft during the trailers warranty unless they are specifically excluded. The only time you will have to contact the accessory manufacturers separately is when your Starcraft warranty expires and that item has a warranty that is longer than Starcrafts.
New trailer bugs are bothersome and many RV manufacturers use the end buyer as quality control. I know the new trailers that I have purchased have been much more troublesome than the used ones. With the used ones the previous owner dealt with the new trailer bugs.
Keep pressure on the dealer to make it right. It seems like many service departments have a tendency to forget about you if you don't keep asking how soon your trailer will be ready. Good luck!
