My guess is that if Ford or anyone else made a girly man looking truck like the global whatever they wouldn't sell well in the US. The manufacturers know who butters their bread.
No sell US Pickups Globally surely there would be a huge demand, because as Arnold would say they are not "Girly Man"
I use to drive a small truck around town and to work and back because it was so nimble. I darn sure would not want to pull a 5er with a midsize.
Americans love their living room on wheels or at least I do. Nothing beats them on a cross country trip.
It sounds like your happy with the offerings of your country as well.
Definitely not Europe, roads too small and they prefer much bigger Trucks. Ask Brulaz
Asia , Australia and New Zealand, South Africa, Latin America are the rapidly expanding markets. 2.3 Million now will become the 3 million in about 5 yrs time estimated projection, making it by far the biggest Pickup Truck market in the world
Some are getting into "the living room on wheels", but many like their Off Road alternatives as well
Others use other alternatives to tow a 35ft plus 5ver
A lot like going Off Road in all matter of vehicles
Shiner have a look what those crazy Ozzies do for fun.... the last few photos. Surely as a good ole Texas boy you can show him up? :B
We in North America are spoiled as we drive haulin our fivers, TT and campers down paved highways to go to our favorite camping areas with the paved or gravel packed roads to freshly mowed greens and either back in or pull through and hook up our power, water and sewer. Then crack open a beer sit down in the ole lawn chair and stare at our big ole trucks. LOL
