First part--- agree totally. Really hate sitting under the awning in the evening feeling like I'm in the spotlight from other campsites.

We like to set out at night. I mostly don't use lights.
Here in the South, lights can attract thousands of bugs.
We get enough light from inside our trailer to sit outside and drink coffee.
NOTE: I do like to camp by someone who lights up like Christmas.
They get the bugs, we get ambient light. :W
