Glow Step Revolution
I was one of the lucky ones that received a complimentary Glow Step Revolution from Torklift International. After measurements were sent to Torklift at their request the GSR was shipped to me and it arrived last week. I reported in another thread two days ago that the install was starting after waiting out several days of rain. Just before the install started a potential major issue popped up, but in no way related to the GSR or Torklift.
I discovered a potential rubber roof leak that might be BAD. I have my roof cleaned/treated and inspected by my selling dealer service manager every six months and he found the suspect spot. It is right in front of the bedroom a/c. Obviously I'm not going to install the GSR until I know how this roof issue shakes out.
I spoke with Torklift and offered to return the GSR since I was not going to be able to install it promptly which was part of their requirement. They were super and said to not worry about it and just keep them posted and do not return it. Just install it whenever I can.
More to follow, but with Christmas coming up it won't be installed until January. I just hope the roof issue isn't any worse than just a new rubber membrane which will be bad enough. What really burns me is that I know numerous RV'ers that never even look up at their roof and they seem to never have issues. I actively clean and maintain mine with only approved materials and what do I get?
The area of the apparent failure is on the roof where the a/c's discharge their condensation.
Wish me luck with the roof cost please. I will need it I'm sure. I did notify the roof manufacturer of a potential problem back in March 2015, but no leak was apparent at that time. At least that is six months less time for their prorated warranty.
