Glow steps

Our TC has the removable glow steps to get in/out.

Is it a good idea to leave them folded up and attached to the TC whilst driving?
I could strap it down so it wouldnt move (and bang on the TC).

We just got the TC but expect removing and attaching the glow steps will get old soon.

    I remove them because they are in the way when I tow and want to get into the TC. If traveling in towns, I also worry about theft by scrappers when I park somewhere. Because of the above, I have become used to removing the steps when we travel and use the OEM step until we set up at camp. There I will set up the stairs and handrail.

    BTW: When we tow, I can turn the truck to the left in our camp spot and attach the stairs without unhitching. However, this takes up too much room in a parking lot to make it practical or respectful of others.
