I also received that offer and we replaced our steps last Thursday morning in about 1 1/2 hours, which included time looking for tools, so really about an hour.
I think they are good, but DH, who has had double knee replacement, thinks they are the greatest thing since sliced bread!! My Dad, who is 82 and has some hip problems, came up to check them out and he, too, loved them.
DH is scheduled for back surgery in a couple of weeks and I am sure these will again come in handy for him.
My problem with the original steps was that when someone, especially the DH who is a big man, stepped on the first step, the entire RV would shake, no matter how many JT Strongarms, stabilizers, etc. we had. These steps have adjustable legs so no matter what type of terrain you are on, the steps can be level and supported.
I laid in the bed and had DH come in and out of the RV and could tell a remarkable difference in the amount of movement, so I will have to give it an A rating. DH gives it an A+ and Dad gave it another A.
We have the 4 step model and the steps are so much closer together so that makes the steps easier to navigate.
So, I will agree with the OP, that they were definitely worth our time installing them and ours have more clearance than our originals by 1 1/2".
