My problem with the original steps was that when someone, especially the DH who is a big man, stepped on the first step, the entire RV would shake, no matter how many JT Strongarms, stabilizers, etc. we had. These steps have adjustable legs so no matter what type of terrain you are on, the steps can be level and supported.

I laid in the bed and had DH come in and out of the RV and could tell a remarkable difference in the amount of movement, so I will have to give it an A rating. DH gives it an A+ and Dad gave it another A.

We have the 4 step model and the steps are so much closer together so that makes the steps easier to navigate.

So, I will agree with the OP, that they were definitely worth our time installing them and ours have more clearance than our originals by 1 1/2".

I know what you mean about rocking the trailer. The GlowStep sure cures that. I've been out there today trying the various settings and putting them down and back up just getting used to them. They sure operate nice.

The variable distances from finish floor to the ground that we encounter at different campgrounds, and with our door being to the rear of the axles, made the GlowStep Revolution steps not a good fit for us. But they did say they would be working on a possible future new design that would handle our situation.

We are getting ready for a 2700 mile trip through Texas, New Mexico, Utah, and Colorado. I will get a real chance to evaluate these steps in 10 different camp grounds. I will report my findings here good or bad. There are 3 different step heights for the upper step and there are 5 positions for the landing gear.

With the original steps the clearance was 15.5". With these new ones the clearance is 14".

I imagine these are probably aimed toward the towable market...

I received an unsolicited PM from Torklift that they would send me these same free steps if I would install them and write a review within 10 days.

I did not respond and blocked all further PMs from Torklift.

Why would I want to get rid of my perfectly functioning electric Kwikee steps, to switch to manual steps that I would have to jump out of the cab door, go around the rig, and manually pull out steps, and remember to put them back in before driving off.

Curious as to what impact the install had on the clearance under the TT.
