Glad you stated all the so called facts... but not one size fits all, for u I’m glad. For others it doesn’t work that way. It is what it is... diesels are not the cure all but neither is gas. Again, I don’t buy into all the facts.... different markets, lots of variables and tons of so called experts everywhere.
The only advantage a gasser has over a diesel is cheaper initial cost.
ALL other performance factors will favor diesel.
I challenge you to point out a performance parameter that a gasser does better than a diesel.
U forgot to add in the extra expense of overall ownership of a diesel. Why do you think that major companies across the country such as UPS and FEDEX are going to gas jobs... I never said that a gas will outperform a diesel.. read my post at the beginning of page 4. What you claim is all other factors favor the diesel...that’s not always true, you may not know that I have pulled with both. I’m very familiar with both... I’m familiar with both operating cost overall for me... I maintain my own trucks, and cars. I work on everything since I was a kid and at 46 I have been blessed enough to gain a lot of experience but I don’t know it all and not an expert. I have said before and will say again... there are to many variables involved... not a one sized fits all on either engine.. I’m a fan of both, I have worked on both..but if you feel that diesel is king then that’s great. Tell me that after repairing one of the newer Diesel engines with the emissions. Yeah really a fun time I will tell you... the problems with modern day diesels can be so complex verse gas...
