GM 5.3 vs. Ford 5.4

Mike Up, You clearly do not have a need for more than 4 seats. I agree the crew cab pickups offer more first and second row space. But 3 people side by side by side for hours at a time while traveling is not fun. That's how we ended up with 3-rows of seats.
Today's Full sized vans do not offer anywhere near the level of equipment as a full sized SUVs. In fact, as you equipped it (steel wheel - who buys those any more?) it offers less equipment than a base model 2015 Suburban LS. And no 4WD either.
I do agree that vans offer tremendous value for those willing to drive them, especially used. And they are great used values because so few people want them! They depreciate at a much higher rate for the first 3 years than SUV.
