Thanks for the info guys. GM paid for my inlaws 10 year old Yukon trans 100%. So who knows what GM will say from one day to the next. No formal warranty but for them GM stood behind their product without a fight. Regardless of age a transmission, especially the touted Allison trans, should not be toast in 65,000 miles. This truck is mainly driven to the grocery store. Not a big demand on the trans. I expect a trans to last more than 65,000 miles, especially the Allison.

I agree, but it might have been that repairs were done and those repairs were what were being addressed on a 10 yr. old tranny.
