If it turns out that the pump was defective and is a known issue and that is what took out the trans then GM may just take care of it with such low mileage. Chrysler sent me a check for a repair that was covered under the 3/36 when my truck had 105K miles on it. Good will payment, it did help that the plant manager called corporate :) .
Get the truck checked out at a trans shop that knows the Ally and then go to the dealer and ask for a factory rep. The dealer is not going to do anything to help you unless you have a very good relationship with them. Can't hurt but I bet you are going to be footing the bill on your own without some kind of inside help.
