If this is a GM offered plan it sounds as if you would break about even. If it is a dealer only deal I wouldn't bother. Not familiar with those GM products but the same deal on a Ford product can be bought from any Ford dealer and the cost can vary widely and some dealers will sell the plan for less. Is it possible you can get it cheaper from a different dealer? if so it might make sense.
