I personally don't care where they go with hp/torque ratings. My "old" 2006 Duramax LBZ has 360hp and 650ftlb of torque if my memory is correct. What I do know is is tows my 5'er down the road perfectly with cruise set and rarely ever down shifts on a hill. I get 12-12.5 mpg on average towing and the big one "It Is Paid For".
So for anyone who just has to have the latest "big" ratings, even if not needed, be my guest. I'll stick with my old one. It does just fine.
Now what to do with all of this extra cash each month? Maybe buy a little more fuel so I can travel a bit more and have a nice dinner out more often. Works for me. YMMV
