Those duramax trucks seem to still match or beat the completion even with lower numbers. Sometimes numbers can be all hype.
Not if you check out any recent comparison tests. They are dead last.
The D/A combo is still a good one, but the power numbers need an upgrade.
Why????

The Dmax is down on power compared to the 14 Ram and 15 Ford. Last time they tested all 3 Ram had the lowest power. Now Chevy is the lowest and likely to get beat by Ford and Ram.
I know all of the deal but why was isn't what GM has to offer enough. I don't see many rv owners going very slow where we travel and I have never felt our power wasn't enough but I don't race when towing. It will be interesting. I guess cummins doesn't agree about the inline engine being the only engine to buy or sell.

It's all for marketing. I totally agree that they have plenty of power. More than needed really. But you can't run ads saying you can tow this or that without having the power or suspension. Not bashing GM at all. It's just a cyclical thing. Very rarely do all 3 upgrade at the same time. This latest surge was started by Ram. Now Ford is coming out with a monster 6.7, so it's only natural for GM to follow suit. If they didn't then they will be left behind in the marketing wars.
