GM's Next HD Duramax

Looks like GM is setting the stage for a potential HP & Torque increase over the competition. :B

  • DUH! Ram doesn't make a diesel engine! The diesel engine is purchased from Cummins, shipped to Mexico, and installed there in the trucks made in Mexico as that's where all Ram HD pickups are made, diesel engined or with the Hemi engine which is also only made in Mexico and then installed in Ram HD's there! Then the Mexican trucks are imported into the USA and Canada for selling.

    Get it straight!
  • FishOnOne,

Shouldn't be telling people and just let it be a surprise. The stunning thing is that the engine gets approx 4% better fuel economy than the 2014 LML while puting out those SAE certified numbers. That's BIG! TQ may go to 860 by news lease time as it's so close now. The Duramax has always been SAE certified for production engines since day one. Other 2 competitors diesels have never been and still aren't and they couldn't keep up with the Duramax's so it's obvious their HP/TQ claims were bogus.
  • Wonder what Ram and Ford will have in two years :W Can't wait for the new " hurt locker type tests".
We have a new " bringing up the rear" truck. Slow to lead be it interior or power train, or rounded fenders Mark :W Just kidding buddy.
