Going solar

I realized that I was off thread a few days ago since this is a Truc-Camper thread but I had been reading about on LFP. Have been comparing apples and oranges. We met Brian Applegate near Glacier 4 or 5 weeks ago and he does manage 1200 W as a combination of truck and trailer (in which he hauls his BMW motorcycle and other sundries). He is the extreme case in truck camper boondockers. He found out via this forum that we were within 5 miles of his site and came over to talk for several hours. We learned a lot, as always, from other boondockers. We know that it seems a tautology to talk of ourselves as "boondockers" with a 34' 5th wheel but such we are. We are "mootchdocking" at present in younger son's backyard in Fort Collins to help out with two year old grandson and one week old grandson.
