Good Deal on Tires = Time for New Tires

For my entire adult life, I’ve bought my tires at Tires Plus (even before they were called that). Yeah, I’m friends with a store manager, but since I drive so much, the regional and national availability of their stores is a big plus (I get road hazard, replacement, lifetime alignment, etc.). I’ve really gotten my use out of these services over the years.

Anyway...they have a deal going right now offering 20% off for those people who are deemed to be on the front lines of this current pandemic. The list of eligible types of workers is pretty extensive. I don’t know if the deal is company-wide or just in our area, but if you need new tires, it’s worth checking out.

I wish gas prices would do so. Seems odd that oil is at 20/barrel and yet gas is 2.25 here in CNY.

How much of that is State, Federal and Local Taxes?

    IMHO $2.25 is DIRT cheap!

  • somehow, the quote function didn't work on my last post....looks like i just copied text. Go figure.

  • As the SHTF, I topped off our two primary vehicles. After the priced dropped a bit, the two primary vehicle tanks were about 2/3 full, and my wife's Jeep (toy) at half. So I dumped several of my gas cans into the Jeep and one vehicle and filled up my truck and the emptied cans. Still bought $60 of gas! Good time to freshen stored gas.

Agreed on stored gas. Good idea dumping stored into vehicle during this time.
  • IMO there will be lots of good deals available in next couple of months. I’m watching!

Too bad I don't need tires...on anything. I don't even need gas, and it's like $1.90 around me. As usual, a day late and dollar short....not sure that applies here....but my needs never seem to align with most deals. oh well.
