We have a Tom-Tom and it is equally stupid. I was thinking of getting the Garmin RV model instead but maybe not.
The last straw was recently when our GPS said to turn left, then make a U-turn. Could have simply turned right. It's a dang good thing we didn't have the TT hooked up at that moment but could have as we were on a camping trip. Do the GPS manufacturers know how impossible it would be do execute a U-turn with a 50' overall truck and TT combo? Not funny...
DW swears by Google maps and her GPS and I swear by old fashioned paper maps. Directionaly speaking, we are not compatible! :(
I do like the built-in navigation in our new Subaru. I don't know how well it would be in a long trip though.
