Got a new truck

Just bought a new 2014 Silverado 2500hd with 6.0 vortec. I got a really good deal on it with the GM supplier discount. It's just a plain work truck with the HD trailering package. Steel wheel, vinyl floor and seats with power door locks. My son laughed when he saw you have to roll the window down. He's 14 and this is the first vehicle he's seen that doesn't have power windows. :) Its just a simple truck and I love it.

  • I've had so many power window motors go out over the years that I wished I'd had manual windows.

As for the St. Bernard. My dad had a very old, large dog. He actually built the dog a ramp that it could walk up to get in the back door. It worked perfectly.

Very nice truck, but I love your St. Bernard. Looks like the St. Bernard I had back in the day. She loved to ride in the truck, of course the front seat. Your dog looks ready for a ride in that new truck.

x2. We had a couple Bernards (1 ea on 2 occasions) when I was growing up. Looking back on it, I can't believe they put up with the "abuse" from us kids. We used to climb all over them (and they, us come to think of it), and bury them in the snow (except for the head to breathe and tail 'cause it wouldn't stop wagging). One time, we came up with the bright idea of hooking our toboggan to one of them. Oh, he took it back the hill alright, but didn't stop until he got back to the house. We didn't try that again. But I digress...Nice truck.:B
  • As long as you're not mistaken for the landscaping crew, you're good. Happened all the time with my old 450.
  • That is a real truck, my other term for work truck! I like white (don't have to worry about sun), looks cleaner longer.

    Nice truck, good find!!

When I bought mine, I called my dealer/owner, and he said, lets build one. I said that is easy, I want electric start, and air conditioning. Well, we did add a few others, but mine is still a real truck!

Hope your dog enjoys it as much as mine does,
    Jerry
  • Sweet, I like the style of the work trucks. One nice thing about less options is more payload.

He's almost 11 and just can't get up into the truck anymore. If he could I'd load him up and go.
