Government shut down killing our vacation!!!!

I wonder if this is happening at other sites? Rather than just shut down the parks, people are barred. I suppose one could say that there might be damage or vandalism, but the note above indicates that "Rangers will be present to enforce the laws". It looks like its best to avoid the Federal sites altogether.
