And I'm going to call BS on this - I'll go as far to say big pile of BS... We went to several dealerships and then to a RV show where several vendors like Jayco and Grand Design were present. The difference in materials used and fit and finish were very obvious. There is no loose trim, spaghetti wiring or crappy fit and finish. Coming from a Coleman Travel Trailer, I have a lot of experience with these issues.
And I'll see your big pile of BS and raise you a humongous pile of HS :E.
So you're comparing a Dutchmen "Coleman" which is bottom of the line to a Grand Design Imagine? That's funny. Grand Designs Imagine line is akin to Keystones Outback Line, Jayco's Whitehawk line, Forest Rivers Rockwood Signature line, or Dutchmen's Denali line. None are even close to anything branded "Coleman". Why do you think Camping World RV sales are full of Coleman TT's and they're usually right in front along the highway? It's because they're super cheap and what they make the most money on.
But then you own a Grand Design, so I can understand your defensiveness. I don't see the huge quality improvement they have over select other brands and plenty of other people here and on other boards do not either, along with some actual owners I know personally.
Umm No Ralph... That's not what I said at all. In fact, I did not make a comparison between those two - I simply stated that I was familiar with the list of TT issues you listed based on the fact I owned a Coleman with those issues - so not news to me. Maybe read the post again....
Oh and I fixed your quote which was out of context. Wow..
I gave an opinion based upon ownership of the product in question - not a friends unit, and not a diatribe about the crappiness of everything ever built. Sorry your not happy with your unit, but some of us are, and enjoy using them. Not going to try and explain it to you any further than that.
