Oh and I fixed your quote which was out of context. Wow..
I gave an opinion based upon ownership of the product in question - not a friends unit, and not a diatribe about the crappiness of everything ever built. Sorry your not happy with your unit, but some of us are, and enjoy using them. Not going to try and explain it to you any further than that.
Thanks for fixing the quote. I do like my unit BTW, but am not going to say its built any better than a lot of other brands out there.
The wife set her sites on a GD Imagine 2500RL out at Hershey. Later I looked at one at a local dealer who also carried Forest Rivers Heritage Glen line and they had a 26RLHL sitting almost right beside the 2500RL. Very similar in size and floor plan. I could have pulled either off the lot that day for the same price. After about an hour and a half of going through both, I would have bought the Heritage Glen. I say that and I am not a Forest River fanboy even though I own one of their products currently. The Heritage Glen 26RLHL had fit and finish far above the Grand Design 2500RL. The only thing the GD had over the HG was larger tank capacities, and they also won the crappy blue LED lighting category in the interior. At the time Grand Design was in the middle of their debacle with the LCI axles and the 2500RL had them, so that was a deal breaker regardless. The Grand design also had the absorbtion fridge in the slideout, and that full height 10' deep slide also was driven by a Schwintek system. probably another deal breaker if I would have been serious about buying.
