Gray Water Tank

Question? I just purchased a 2014 Jayco Swift SLX 184bh two weeks ago. We have taken it out 2 times and both times within an hour of setting up, the gray water tank has filled up. According to Jayco, this unit has a 15 gallon gray water tank and the only thing that we have done is washed dishes using maybe 2 sink loads of water. This doesnt seem like 15 gallons to me. Any ideas as to what could be wrong other than it doesnt really have a 15 gallon tank? Other than this little issue, we love the trailer. It sleeps 5 and is pretty well laid out.
  • Are you hooked to city water or are you using the onboard water pump? Often city water has more pressure and one can use more that expected. Fifteen gallons is not a very large tank.
  • If you're making the full determination based on your sensors, that's probably your problem. Tank sensors are usually inaccurate, especially black and gray. I would wait until the water starts backing up in the sink before I considered it full.
