Gray/black dump system - am I nuts?

A quick update:
On another forum, someone told me they have the same unit and it is plumbed the same way. I called the factory and they told me it doesn't sound right (was she just some one who answers the customer service phone when it rings??). I then called the dealer I bought it from (100 miles away) and was told that doesn't sound right but maybe they do make it that way, bring it in and they will tear off the under siding take pics and send them to dutchmen to see what they say. I then called a much closer dealer and they said it sounds wrong even if it was designed that way...I am bringing it to them on Thursday. I'm hoping something can be done quickly as we have our first trip of the year planned for May 3rd.
