Great day to work in the Minnie 2201DS!

So it will be a balmy 15 degrees this morning when I head over to my trailer. I have to install my new post for the dinette table....height adjustable and top will pivot. I converted the table to a drop leaf table with two 8" leafs. I've got two slide out shelves to install in the pantry and then I'm going to cut out two openings at the ends of the dinette seats....I'm making doors for each opening so we can access the storage areas without the hassle of removing cushions and plywood panels.

New Maxxis tires will get installed next week. So we should be ready for our March getaway! And, come warmer weather, a new exhaust fans gets installed in the bedroom. Gotta love making a trailer more customized for this year's outings!

  • So, here's the table mounted and in a couple of positions. And, two slide out shelves installed in pantry. I cut out the panels for the doors and will be building the doors. I plan on building a slide out tray for one area under the dinette seat. The other area has a box (possibly slide related) that makes a slide out tray impracticle.

First time posting pics in a long time....hope they aren't too large.

  • Agree on the storage area under the seats.....unless you have ducting or something in the way. Our Rocky has 1 side with a drawer and then a smaller area behind where I stash larger plastic serving trays...have to lift the cushions to get to those. The other side is completely open and you literally have to lay on the floor to reach anything that has slid further back.
  • If you are going to the trouble of cutting those openings under the seats, you might consider making drawers or at least slide out shelves for full access. Our Greyhawk has these, and they are great.
