3-days of forecasted rain may not require you to cancel a trip.
I'm a couple hours North of you in Southern Utah and this time of year most of our "rains" are showers and T-Storms that move through. All-day soakers are rare.
A lot of the cells are proceeded by gusty winds, so you'll have to keep tabs on your awning. Other than that, you're often left with the majority of the day being quite nice.
